Bio:

During my time in the Army, I discovered I had an aptitude for working with computers. When I transitioned to the private sector from the military, I decided to continue to pursue my passion for technology. Since then, I have gained over 16 years of experience, and eleven of those years have been dedicated to the Cyber Security discipline at one of our nation’s top nuclear facilities. I hold two Computer Science degrees and nine professional certifications, and I am actively working on obtaining my CISSP.

Role:

I am the Cyber Security Engineer, Penetration Tester, and Incident Response Team Lead for Conversant Group. This past year, Conversant put a lot of time and resources into developing a Cyber Security program that rivals those found in large corporations. The difference between us and the bigger guys is that we care about the success of your company. I know that sounds cliché, but it is the truth. Conversant Group surrounds itself with experienced people; Conversant’s tagline is “experience knowledge,” and our Cyber team is filled with experienced and knowledgeable people.

There are many accomplishments I am proud of from this past year, but some highlights are developing the network pen testing program, speaking at conferences, and building relationships with clients. The most gratifying achievement was authoring Conversant Group’s Incident Response Playbook which was as challenging as it was rewarding. Much thought and research went into every detail of an incident and how to respond with all the departments/groups involved. Conversant Group is very proud of the design of our Incident Response program, and we are excited about the opportunity to use that program to help our clients and protect their data.
