Bio:

Since the time I was old enough to reach a keyboard, I have had a passion for technology, information security, and connectivity. Knowing at a young age that this would change the world around us in how we communicate, do business, and live. However, I could not have predicted how much of an impact it would have on my personal and professional life. I have spent the greater part of my 20’s and early 30’s furthering my career; over the past 17 years, I have worked with managed service providers and consulting groups of all sizes serving organizations primarily in the financial, medical, local government, and manufacturing sectors.

I have lived in most states in the Southeast US, but I have found a home in Chattanooga with Conversant Group. Now married with high school age children, I find myself spending most of my personal time with family and friends, enjoying gaming and VR, and tinkering with technology.

Role:

My background includes strong networking, infrastructure, virtualization, and storage administration and implementation. However, my primary focus at Conversant Group is perimeter & endpoint security, network monitoring & automation, network access control & 802.1x, and security incident response & remediation. As Network Security Engineer, I find myself building the defenses of our client’s networks in an ever-changing global security climate. I personally enjoy helping our clients strengthen their security posture against ever-changing security threats. I serve our clients by providing secure perimeter access for their employees and vendors to critical system resources, regardless of where they may be in the world, through redundant SD-WAN connectivity, site to site encrypted tunnels, and SSLVPN access.

I hold the NSE certification with Fortinet and work mostly with Fortinet, Cisco, and other firewall & network solutions.
